Duration
April – May 2024

As Trama, we led the design, production, and coordination of a large-scale mural intervention on the façade of the Osorno Municipal Market, commissioned by the Municipality through its Cultural Center. We worked alongside muralists Francisco Maturana, Javier Barriga, and Giovanni Zamora —Giova— as well as two local artists, Constanza Jauregui and Carlos Núñez, developing over 50 designs rooted in collective memory and local imagery across more than a month of work.
But the visual transformation of the space was only one axis of the project. In parallel, we activated participatory methodologies that engaged the Osorno community: school excursions, cultural self-management workshops with local artists, and diverse community encounters that extended the project’s impact well beyond the mural itself.
The result is a collective work of public art — monumental, site-specific, and deeply local — that transformed a cold, impersonal space into a living canvas of identity and belonging for Osorno.
