ICCROM Workshop 2025 – Santiago, Chile
A high-level technical training and institutional coordination initiative for World Heritage management in Chile.
Client
Qatar Museums – ICCROM
Location
Santiago, Chile
Duration
2025
Participants
+40 professionals / all Chilean World Heritage Sites

As Trama, we led the full production of the workshop and coordinated local and institutional engagement alongside ICCROM, SERPAT, the Municipality of Valparaíso, the Municipal Corporation World Heritage Site, and Qatar Museums. We structured an intensive week of applied work with a technical, territorial, and international focus — supporting key stakeholder connections and building a hands-on exchange around governance, monitoring, risk management, and impact, using Valparaíso as the primary case study and Al Zubarah as a comparative reference.
The workshop brought together over 40 professionals — surpassing the initial target of 30 — with representation from every Chilean World Heritage Site and three tentative list sites, alongside more than 15 national and regional authorities. The initiative strengthened capacities, improved inter-institutional coordination, and positioned Valparaíso as a national reference for heritage management, opening a legacy projection tied to the site's management plan and a long-term cooperation between Chile and Qatar.
